Temp Event & Operations Assistant
Location: Culver City, CA
Pay: $19-23/hr
Duration: Open-ended
Schedule: M-F, 9AM - 6PM
Our client, a mission-driven non-profit organization, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Event & Operations Coordinator to support their dynamic. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys fast-paced environments, takes initiative, and thrives in both the logistical and people-facing sides of events.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Execution & Support
- Support full event lifecycle, including physical setup and teardown-tables, chairs, signage, and supply stations.
- Assist with event-day operations including registration, guest support, and inventory restocking.
- Act as on-site support for the Events Director and Senior Coordinator to ensure smooth execution.
Logistics & Inventory
- Manage physical inventory with accuracy: open boxes, count and track items (e.g., clothing sizes, care kits), prep and pack materials for transport.
- Maintain organized storage spaces and help manage monthly distribution needs.
- Assist with load-in/load-out and warehouse coordination before and after events.
Operations & Coordination
- Use Google Docs/Sheets to track inventory levels, event supplies, and logistical plans.
- Liaise with vendors for rentals, catering, entertainment, and deliveries.
- Communicate clearly with team members, volunteers, and partners to ensure alignment across all functions.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in event coordination, warehouse logistics, or operational support preferred.
- Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs) or Microsoft Office.
- Optional availability to work some evenings and weekends during events.
