Title: Event Marketing Specialist

Pay Rate: $30/hr.
Job Summary:

The Events & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing tradeshows, conferences, and internal/external events across the USA, Canada, and Latin America, while also supporting regional marketing initiatives. This role will be approximately 70% focused on event execution and 30% on marketing project coordination. The position reports to the Sr. Manager of Marketing Strategy and Content - Americas and is based in Marlborough, MA.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred
  • Licensure & Certifications:
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Required Skills & Experience:
    • 1-3 years of experience in event planning, tradeshows, or marketing coordination
    • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • Project management experience with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be able to lift or carry up to 40 lbs
  • Preferred Skills & Experience:
    • Experience with content management systems and email marketing tools
    • Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms
    • Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities:

Event Support (70%)
  • Plan and execute tradeshow participation across various markets (Biopharma, Pharma, Life Sciences, Clinical/Forensic, Food/Environment)
  • Travel to and support onsite events (based on contract allowance)
  • Manage booth asset inventory and coordinate logistics with exhibit house and vendors
  • Coordinate event logistics: show services, applications, food/beverage, AV, and venue communications
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for seamless event execution
Marketing Support (30%)
  • Assist in implementing marketing communication campaigns
  • Maintain tradeshow planning documents and timelines
  • Use analytics tools to monitor and report on campaign performance
