The
Event Manager will manage every aspect of their assigned events from the advance planning stages through the end of the event; Coordinate communication between clients, the Sales team, set-up crews, service partners, event staff and delegate assignments; work with client on all needs and be responsible for and ensure overall customer and lessee satisfaction and experience. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including long nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed, is required.
This role will pay an annual salary of $55,000 - $57,000.

- Function as a liaison between clients and show managers, guests of the facility, facility staff, event staff, service partners, municipal partners which include fire, medical and police.
- Analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of organizational objectives.
- Plan and direct the advancement of event needs and the preparation of building to meet the requirements of upcoming events/shows with Operations.
- Assists Finance Department in completing pre-show estimates and completion of post-show event settlements.
- Investigate and resolve event-related challenges in a professional manner ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that the facility is cleaned and ready prior to, during and after all events to maintain building appearance and increase customer satisfaction.
- Review emergency planning procedures with all events staff for each event
- Support overall goals of company to increase sales activity and grow revenue.
- Work within Ungerboeck EBMS to create and distribute detailed data sheets/ resumes prior to every event.
- Experience with Auto CAD preferred.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or better from an accredited college/university with major coursework in facility management, hospitality management, business management, marketing, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years' experience in event management in a stadium, arena, convention center or public assembly facility setting.
- Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, and Internet software.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a current CPR certificate.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid drivers' license.
- Knowledge of customer service practices and crowd management and control techniques.
- Demonstrated familiarity with facility use contracts.
- Familiarity with terminology used in entertainment/convention/public assembly settings.
