Job Description: The evening support staff provides essential administrative and operational support during evening hours to ensure smooth and efficient office operations. The support staff will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of evening events for the Office of Student Diversity & Multicultural Affairs. This role is a per diem position that requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently and provide excellent customer service to students. Responsibilities Breakdown 1. Evening support Serve as the primary point of contact for students during evening hours. Collaborate with daytime staff to ensure the continuity of ongoing projects and tasks. Act as the onsite event manager during evening events. Provide support and guidance to event organizers and attendees. Address and resolve any issues that arise promptly and effectively. 2. Reservation and Service Management Process and manage reservation requests using the Event Management System (EMS). Ensure accurate scheduling and confirmation of event details. Ensure event needs are met effectively. 3. Event and Building Activity Awareness Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the event schedule and building activities. Monitor the daily operations to anticipate potential conflicts or issues. Inform relevant staff and stakeholders about scheduled events and activities. 4. Perform Other Duties as Assigned Assist with various administrative and operational tasks as needed. Contribute to the continuous improvement of event planning processes. Other duties as assigned by assistant director and director. Supervision: The Evening Support Staff will report directly to the Assistant Director for Student Success & Belonging. Qualifications: Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
