Job Description
The European Sales Director will:
- Sales Growth: Revitalise and grow sales, particularly in the defence sector.
- Team Leadership: Manage and redirect the sales team to improve performance and establish effective behaviours.
- Long Sales Cycles: Navigate and manage sales.
- Client Diversification: Maintain a balanced revenue spread.
- Strategic Selling: Sell engineered offerings while keeping the commercial edge within the sales process.
The Successful Applicant
- Extensive background in engineering ideally within the Defence sector.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and motivating sales teams.
- Industry Focus: Preferably with experience in the defence sector, though aerospace experience is also valuable.
- Location: UK or Europe - English language is essential.
- Skills: Expertise in selling with long sales cycles.
- MBA or equivalent business degree would be desirable although time served is equally attractive.
- Happy to travel - short haul 2 to 3 days every two weeks on average.
