Mandatory skill: ETL development using Informatica Power Center v10+, Python
Profile & Analyze Source Data (Mainframe Extracts, flat files, SQL Server, Web services etc.) usage using Informatica ETL.
Analyzing and evaluating data sources, data volume and business rules
Automation, job scheduling, dependencies, monitoring
Extraction, transformation and load of data using ETL tools
Configure/Script Business rules and transformation rules in Informatica
Design, development of ETL Informatica jobs as per the Business requirements
Understanding the data model, designing the model for EDW, mapping the data and running the ETL jobs
Ensure appropriate level of Unit Test and System Test of all deliverables
Understanding of deployment process of both Informatica PowerCenter and IICS jobs
Knowledge in version control tools like Bitbucket, Git etc and knowledge of branching and check-in of code
Defect fixes for System Test, Operational Acceptance Test and Production
Other Skills Required:
Good experience in Defect tracking tool
Experience in Design and implementation of complex ETL processes.
Proficient in writing complex SQL queries
Good Understanding of traditional RDBMS systems like SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata etc.
Excellent problem solving, debugging, performance tuning skills
Excellent communication skills
Qualifications
Any Graduate with degree in Engineering/Science
A great communicator of ideas and solutions and a lateral thinker when faced with complex performance or production issues.
