We're a leading structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabricator & erector with over 120 years of experience. Based in Kensington, CT, we deliver high-quality steel solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects across the Northeast.
️ The Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to join our pre-construction team. You'll play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for structural steel projects that support successful bidding and long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural & structural drawings
- Develop detailed cost estimates
- Identify scope, materials, labor, and equipment needs
- Solicit & evaluate quotes from subs and suppliers
- Collaborate with PM and engineering teams
- Prepare and present proposals
- Participate in bid reviews & value engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Construction Mgmt, Engineering, or related (preferred)
- 3+ years estimating experience (structural steel or commercial construction)
- Strong knowledge of steel materials & erection methods
- Proficient in Tekla EPM, Bluebeam, or similar software
- Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills
