Summary/objective The Estimator prepares cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements.

- Providing excellent customer service by estimating flooring projects using the provided measuring equipment to create a computer-generated diagram and an accurate materials list.
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Analyze and identify labor, material, and time requirements for a project.
- Ensure timely completion of estimates.
- Perform project site visits and assist with project coordination.
- Store coverage as needed, which would entail the job duties described under salesperson, and depending on the store, possibly warehouse duties. Refer to the salesperson and warehouse job descriptions for more information.

Travel required: Will travel to the customer's home location to conduct the estimate, may be required to travel between stores or distribution centers
Required education and experience: - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Google Suite or Microsoft Suite
- Proficient in using a computer
- Previous experience with measuring programs including Measure Square, RFMS Measure, Bluebeam Revu, and On Site Takeoff. Open to experience with other measurement programs.
- One to three years of estimating experience.
- Analyzing information, planning, and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license
Preferred education and experience: - Interfacing with residential builders or customers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, used daily in the department
- Math proficiency - math is used daily and all day long.
- Bachelor's Degree in mathematics
- At least three years of outside sales experience
