Sr Estimator & Estimator - Heavy Highway/Heavy Civil


Location: Northwestern Suburb of Philadelphia, PA

Nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania, this employer is seeking a talented Senior Estimator or Estimator with experience in Heavy Civil/Heavy Highway construction. This Estimator will lead the full estimating scope of infrastructure projects including PennDOT/NJDOT. Responsible for negotiating the pricing & changes in scope/scale of work, meeting with current customers/vendors, and obtaining new clients. Proficiency in HCSS Heavybid or a similar estimating software is ideal. Experience with bridges/structures required.


Salary $110k-$125k (Estimator) , $125k-$140k (Senior Estimator)- (don't let the $ deter you.) Relocation Assistance Available

  • background in Heavy/Highway work, with an emphasis on bridge structures
  • experienced with HCSS Heavy bid estimating software
  • Estimator or Senior Estimator, we are open to reviewing candidates with 2+ years of bridge estimating experience. Anywhere from recent college graduates to seasoned professionals.
  • Knowledge and experience with bidding for public entities; some entity examples are: PennDOT, PA Turnpike, NJDOT, NJ Turnpike, the DRPA, and DelDOT.
  • Other software experience that is a plus: Vista/Viewpoint, Bluebeam, AGTEK, CAD, Primavera or ASTA.
  • no option for remote/work from home. There will be opportunities to perform job visits for projects we are successful in bidding and start constructing; frequency may vary from 1x per month to 1-2x per week, depending on size and scope of the project.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
