Summary:

Responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, overseeing, and managing routine Electronic Surveillance and Security Systems (ESS) operational processes and full lifecycle asset management, including procurement, inventory, and retirement of hardware and software assets. The role also provides technical oversight of the support processes for all ESS systems. Additionally, it offers end-user and process support for all ESS systems and the DRJTBC radio system.

Minimum Experience and Abilities:
High School diploma, or general equivalency degree, and five (5) years of experience in related electronic security and surveillance installation and maintenance and/or electrical experience.

Role and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Perform maintenance on network servers, MPLS network, Access control, Wireless Network, CCTV systems, Genetec NVMS, BriefCam, Generac generators, Aperio and Harmony ACS/door lock components.
  • Repair and replace defective ESS system components.
  • Perform ESS project maintenance and systems upgrades.
  • Coordinate ESS Integrators service contract and subcontractors' requirements.
  • Monitor and respond to alerts from the ESS network monitoring systems and cyber security software.
  • Evaluate and recommend ESS systems upgrades using the Test bench simulator.
  • Complete preventive and manufacturer's recommended maintenance on ESS systems.
  • Coordinate and schedule fire alarm system repairs, testing and preventive maintenance with subcontractors.
  • Schedule and conduct traffic control (Maintenance Protection of Traffic) for lane closures to facilitate scheduled ESS maintenance.
  • Create and maintain preventive maintenance plans for all ESS systems and equipment, including, but not limited to generators, UPS's, servers, camera systems, access control systems, door locks, etc.
  • Install and maintain new ESS cameras, servers, and other ESS Components.
  • Install and maintain ESS video management software, CCTV, and access control.
  • Troubleshoot ESS video management software and hardware component failures.
  • Install and maintain electric door locks and card readers.
  • Coordinate the installation of new radios and radio repairs.
  • Assist with the maintenance of and coordination of repairs associated with Bridge Security Operations such as the Bridge Shelters and the Primary Control Center (PCC)/Secondary Control Center (SCC).
Education and Experience

High School diploma, or general equivalency degree, and five (5) years of experience in related electronic security and surveillance installation and maintenance and/or electrical experience.
