This position is located at Central Office in Fort Snelling and may have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.
This position supports the operations of the Gopher State One Call System so that all emergency, maintenance, and utility location needs are addressed in relation with the State of Minnesota's underground utilities. The position also receives traffic signal and highway lighting trouble calls, creates work requests in the Traffic Asset Management System (TAMS), dispatches trouble calls to the appropriate personnel, and operates the building security system. In addition, the position manages the ESS Equipment Loaner Program by assigning vehicles to technicians when needed and ensures that they're kept in good working condition. Lastly, the position assists with the ESS and Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) Damage Restitution Program by utilizing TAMS and MnCrash to search for Incident Crash Reports (ICR's) and producing standard damage billing packages for submittal to the Office of Finance.

Minimum Qualifications - Dispatch experience sufficient to manage a high-volume call system.
- Experience navigating and utilizing multiple database systems and applications to enter, monitor, and retrieve information.
- Experience reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Experience with Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel sufficient to create spreadsheets and word documents.
- Skills in using business grammar, spelling, and punctuation to write, develop, and edit reports, letters, procedures, presentations, and other documents.
Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of the metro area freeway system.
- Knowledge and experience with lighting and signal systems to read and interpret design plans.
- Experience processing damage restitution claims.
- Experience with the Gopher State One Call Ticketing System.
