Position Purpose: Position is primarily responsible for repairing building interiors, fixtures, common areas, grounds and property exteriors in a manner that is consistent with all licensing, accreditation, local and state building codes, and company standards.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

• Minimum of three to five years of experience in general mechanical and structural repairs, i.e., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, yard work, etc. or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.

• Must be able to utilize and supply basic hand tools

• Must be able to follow directions

• Valid Iowa driver's license

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Repair structures and perform general carpentry work such as; installation of cabinets, partitions, shelves; floor coverings, acoustical ceilings, window glass; minor repairs; roofs, doors, locks, and other related items.
2. Performs minor electrical and plumbing repairs, should be able to check and trouble shoot wiring; water lines; faucets, sewers, boiler room equipment, pumps, check valves, heating and ventilating systems, and other equipment.
3. Paints building interiors and exteriors, and be able to perform general drywall repair.
4. Estimates materials, labor, and time needed for projects; occasionally works with outside contractors, operates light automotive equipment to travel to facilities throughout the County and to transport materials, furniture, and equipment.
5. Performs general maintenance necessary to maintain buildings
6. Serve as a member of the Maintenance Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
7. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Ethics.
8. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
9. Serve as a role model for other staff, patients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
10. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Based on experience

  • Starting pay: $22.47
