Job Summary:

The ERP Systems Administrator is a crucial role within our IT department, responsible for the comprehensive administration, maintenance, and support of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (Infor). This position ensures the ERP system operates efficiently, securely, and effectively, directly supporting core business operations. The Administrator will collaborate extensively with various departments to troubleshoot issues, implement system updates, optimize performance, and develop and distribute critical system reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

System Administration and Maintenance:

• Install, configure, and maintain ERP system software and hardware.

• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.

• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings.

• Apply system patches, upgrades, and updates in a timely and efficient manner.

• Maintain accurate system documentation and configuration records.

User Support and Training:

• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems promptly.

• Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to educate users on ERP system functionality.

• Assist users with data entry, reporting, and other ERP-related tasks.

• Act as a primary point of contact for user inquiries and requests.

System Optimization and Development:

• Analyze business requirements and recommend system enhancements to improve efficiency and productivity.

• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to implement system customizations and integrations.

• Participate in system testing and quality assurance activities.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure the ERP system complies with relevant security policies and industry regulations.

• Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data.

• Monitor system logs and audit trails for security breaches and unauthorized access.

• Participate in security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration of ERP systems with other business applications.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on system performance and project progress.

• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and external support providers.

• Create and maintain clear and concise documentation of all processes.

System Reporting for Departments:

• Develop, maintain, and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc reports to various departments (e.g., Finance, Sales, Inventory, Production).

• Collaborate with department managers to understand their reporting needs and translate them into effective ERP system reports.

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in reporting.

• Create and maintain documentation for reporting procedures and templates.

• Troubleshoot reporting issues and provide timely support to department users.

• Optimize reports for performance and efficient delivery.

• Work with departments to automate report delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proven experience as an ERP Systems Administrator, preferably Infor with a minimum of 5 years experience.

• Strong understanding of ERP system architecture, functionality, and modules.

• Experience with database administration (SQL, Oracle, etc.).

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of IT security best practices.

• Ability to create and maintain clear and concise documentation.

Not Required but Preferred:

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Specific ERP System Certification, ITIL).

• Experience with cloud-based ERP systems.

• Project management experience.

• Experience with ERP reporting tools (e.g., Crystal Reports, SAP BusinessObjects, etc.)

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science required; master's degree or MBA preferred.

• Relevant IT related professional certifications are highly preferred.

• Experience with ERP systems, ideally CSI, driving automation and integration of processes.

• SQL/ database skills

• A strong desire to keep abreast of new technology with an ability to implement applicable solutions to drive improved business performance.
