The ERP Applications Administrator is primarily responsible for providing technical and functional support for the ERP system and its related applications. This role focuses on ensuring the smooth operation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the ERP environment. The administrator serves as a key resource for resolving user issues, supporting system upgrades, managing user access, and applying ERP best practices to enhance system performance and reliability.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a HYBRID ROLE located next to Hobby Airport in Houston, TX. Local candidates will be considered first.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides business processes SMEs and application end users with direction and leadership around system administration.
  • Ensures the proper systems, procedures, internal controls, quality standards, metrics, and quality control processes are in place to ensure Epicor ERP runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Analyses, resolves, and responds to issues reported by Epicor ERP end users and its related integrations and applications.
  • Conducts consistent day-to-day application/tools maintenance and administrative services, including, but not limited to, ongoing improvement of processes and methods, keeping application up to date with releases and patches, end-user access and role security assignment, and overall application security.
  • Develops and implements plans and solutions designed to improve business processes by enhancing performance, automating tasks via BPMs or other methods and customizations, and proactively addressing known or unexpected Epicor ERP issues.
  • Strong knowledge of the Epicor SQL Databases to help the Data and Analytics team, creating SQL Views to be used for business intelligence solutions via application available tools such as SSRS Reports, BAQs, and Dashboards or other available related tools such as Power BI.
  • Updates and maintains technical and functional documentation, work instructions, and other team documents with new functionality or processes.
  • Participate in the development of project plans, and service desk processes for various levels of support, and communicate issues.
  • Collaborates with other IT, Third Party Production/Technical Support and Business teams to create and administer change management, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans for the Epicor ERP system and related applications.
  • Performs daily, weekly, and monthly manual and automated operational tasks in a highly available (24x7x365) environment.
  • Perform other related duties related to ERP Eco Systems as assigned.
Knowledge , Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in role.
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in an application support role, at least 2 years in an ERP Administrator role.
  • Experience with SQL queries, SSRS report design.
  • Experience with Epicor customizations including UI customizations, BAQs/Dashboards, BPMs.
  • Experience with Epicor Searches, Global Alerts, Advanced Dashboards, and DMTs.
  • Experience in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Good understanding of processes and their dependencies within an ERP application: financial, engineering, purchasing, inventory management, manufacturing operations
  • Experience in ERP implementation, including design, build, test, and deployment.
  • Must have business acumen in determining business processes and their dependencies within an ERP application.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills and other related software.
  • Experience writing documentation and creating job aids/ knowledge articles and version control.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service, be a good listener and work well with others, including cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative.
  • Adaptable and agile, able to learn on the job.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving skills and able to innovate original solutions to complex problems.

SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $90,000 plus annual bonus potential, benefits and 401k
