Buy-side research analyst opportunity with a family office.
The analyst will work with the direct investment team and report to the Portfolio Manager. The team employs a fundamentally driven investment process and an owner's mentality. Duties include evaluating long and short investment ideas aligned with the investment framework of the fund, developing and refining financial models, and preparing comprehensive investment memos. The successful candidate will have the ability to process and synthesize data from company filings, industry events, news, and market updates to generate actionable insights. Responsibilities will also include daily tracking of the fund's P&L, serving as a liaison with third-party vendors, reconciling trade issues, and maintaining research records.
Skills and Experience
- Buy-side/Sell-side experience preferred.
- Strong financial modeling skills and deep understanding of financial statement analysis.
- Excellent academic credentials; MBA or CFA a plus.
- Extensive experience with Bloomberg and Excel.
