Overview Equipment Repair Supervisor (EAGLE 6): Bowhead seeksEquipment RepairSupervisorto join our team on a recently awarded contract at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Aberdeen,MD. The Equipment Repair Supervisorareresponsible forthe planning,organizingand executing various aspects of the Maintenance Division's maintenance operations. The Equipment Repair Supervisor programs equipment for repair into the shop and manages the personnel, repair parts, facilities and tools for these repairs. Responsibilities Essential functions will include: Supervises work of mechanics in shop. Leads, plans, directs, and participates in all facets of equipment repair procedures required for mission success. Estimates time, material, and equipment required for assigned jobs and distributes the workload to fulfill mission requirements. Manages and distributes workload; maintains accurate daily status on all jobs. Directs the ordering of repair parts to satisfy work orders. Operates and inspects equipment to diagnose defects. Analyzes and determines causes of malfunctions and repair methods. Examines parts for damage or excessive wear. Tests and overhauls equipment to ensure operating efficiency. Reviews work in progress and upon completion for conformance to standards. Assists in the repairs of equipment brought to the shop as required. Assists mechanics on proper troubleshooting and maintenance procedures and determines need for repairing versus replacing. Makes operational checks and adjustments as required. Attends maintenance status meetings at the direction of the Maintenance Operations Manager. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least five (5+) years of experience as a first line supervisor of fleet, equipment management and/or maintenance team. Must have specific management experience in maintenance shop operations and in-depth technical knowledge concerning the repair of Army materiel. Must possess a valid State issued CDL and be able to obtain/maintain a forklift license. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. Due to the location of this work, U.S. citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
