About the Company

Technica, USA, ( ) is hiring an Equipment Field Service Technician to install and service equipment sold primarily to the printed circuit board fabrication industries. Openings are based in Austin, Texas; San Jose, California; and Rancho Cucamonga, California. About the Role

The position will have the responsibility for servicing our PCB or PCBA equipment product line. This would include installation, troubleshooting, repair service, rebuild service, etc. This position requires a highly self-motivated, hands-on, confident individual of the highest integrity who possesses a wide range of knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition, this position requires an individual to be selected based on the following criteria:


Responsibilities

  • Install and service equipment
  • Conduct equipment audit
  • Provide technical service when appropriate to solve problems

Qualifications

2 plus years of experience in PCB or PCBA Manufacturing environment or similar desired


Required Skills

  • Travel domestically more than 50% of the time and in some cases, on short notice
  • Possess a positive "whatever it takes" attitude while operating under pressure
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to initiate action plans
  • Ability to work independently with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to use all resources available to find solutions
  • Computer skills with the ability to write detailed service and equipment reports using Word
  • Understand electrical schematics
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems for equipment, ensuring optimal automation and control of the process
  • Work in and around equipment, chemical and environmental conditions within a PCB or PCBA Manufacturing facility
