CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for an Equipment Engineering Technician.


Type: Contract- likely ongoing

Location: Concord, NC

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Concord, NC

Pay Rate: 24.00/hr

Work Hours: M-F 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Education: B.S. or Associate Degree in a technical or science field


Description

CTG is seeking a Multi-Disciplined Technician I to support innovation and manufacturing operations at our client's facility. This role involves a wide range of technical tasks, including process experimentation, data analysis, equipment operation, and support for engineering and development projects. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically curious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.


Requirements:


• Perform technical duties related to process development, experimentation, and data collection.


• Operate measurement equipment and interpret data to identify process issues or improvements.


• Support engineering teams in product innovation, cost reduction, and process optimization.


• Assist in the development and integration of new products and processes.


• Train and coach new employees on processes and equipment usage.


• Document procedures, process updates, and technical findings.


• Travel up to 25% may be required (domestic, Wilmington, NC).


• Availability to work off-shift hours when necessary.


Required Qualifications


Education:


• B.S. or Associate Degree in a technical or science-related field


Experience:


• 1-5 years in technician roles


• Mechanical/process aptitude with experience designing or fabricating tools and experimental equipment


• Hands-on experience with fiber-making or fiber-processing equipment preferred


Skills:


• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


• Ability to work independently and within a team


• Excellent attention to detail and time management


• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking skills


• Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental compliance


• Excellent communication and documentation skills


Desired Skills:


• Experience with PI Processbook/PI Historian


• Knowledge of analytical techniques including FTIR, HPLC, microscopy (compound and SEM), and gas chromatography
