Telecom Equipment Engineer I-Specs, Provisioning & Network Builds
The Data Detailed Engineering team is responsible for equipment engineering, implementation planning, and inventory management for advanced Network Service Edge (eNSE) infrastructure. The team supports construction and provisioning operations by creating detailed installation packages (I-Specs) and maintaining equipment records within centralized engineering databases such as ICON and VENUE.
What will you be doing as an Equipment Engineer?
- Perform detailed equipment engineering for new network build-outs and augments.
- Create Installation Specifications (I-Specs) to guide installation teams in proper setup, configuration, and inventory of equipment.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage material/equipment ordering, delivery, and installation.
- Ensure all engineering work aligns with applicable financial, operational, and planning standards.
- Manage and update engineering databases (e.g., ICON, VENUE) for new builds, additions, and decommissions.
- Provide guidance and resolve complex engineering issues with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain high-level access to systems necessary for manipulating engineering data.
What do you bring to the table as an Equipment Engineer?
- 5-10 years of experience in Equipment/Detailed Engineering
- Proficiency with engineering systems and databases
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Self-motivated, customer-focused, and well-organized with strong leadership abilities
- Deep understanding of the telecommunications industry and engineering practices
- Education: Technical degree strongly preferred
