What we're looking for
The Alamo Pintado Equine Veterinary Technician supports and works cohesively with a world-class team of veterinarians, technicians, client service representatives and administrative staff. Candidate should be a self-starter, excellent at multi-tasking, empathetic, compassionate and friendly.
What the ideal candidate has and can do
- Provide technical support to veterinarians in the delivery of primary care, diagnostic services and disease control
- Assist with medications, treatments and procedures for ICU/Medicine cases
- Willing and able to work a rotating schedule that includes evenings and weekends
- Extensive experience handling and managing horses
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients, doctors and team members
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks utilizing a wide degree of creativity and attention to detail
- Regular cleaning, stocking and organization of equipment and materials for daily workflow and emergency readiness, including strict observation of biosecurity and maintenance of a clean and safe environment.
