Join our client's dynamic team as a Permanent Environmental Technician in the Engineering industry and play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the environmental health and safety of their operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of environmental engineering, providing solutions to complex environmental challenges and contributing to the sustainability of our operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical troubleshooting, machine repair, and environmental monitoring, with a focus on motors, pumps, and blowers. This position requires a commitment to safety, a strong understanding of environmental regulations, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine field testing and monitoring to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues, including motors, pumps, and blowers.
- Conduct regular maintenance and repair on environmental equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to environmental emergencies promptly, implementing appropriate safety measures and clean-up procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all environmental data and activities, including testing results, maintenance and repair work, and safety incidents.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to develop and implement environmental strategies and initiatives.
- Stay updated on the latest environmental regulations and standards, ensuring all operations remain in compliance.
- Conduct environmental training sessions for staff, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Environmental Technician or a similar role in the Engineering industry.
- Proficiency in basic troubleshooting, field testing, and monitoring, with a focus on motors, pumps, and blowers.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve machine-related issues effectively.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various field locations as needed.
- HAZWOPER certification or the ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with various teams and departments.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards, with the ability to ensure compliance in all operations.
- Proven ability to respond effectively to environmental emergencies, implementing appropriate safety measures and clean-up procedures.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
