Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree.

Desired skills: Strong writing skills for report writing and emails with applicants and consultants. Ability to multi-task among various assignments. Trainability with IT and GIS functions. Exposure to Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive

Duties/Responsibilities: The Water Quality Management Planning (WQMP) program is the State's implementation of the federal WQMP program, and its program unit requires numerous staff to process applications. This Unit determines where sewage generating structures (buildings) can be placed in the State. The employee would assist in implementing this program by reviewing various applications and implementing the associated regulations.

Job Duties in brief: Under direction of a supervisory official in a state department or agency, engages in completion of environmental review and control tasks relative to assigned program/project areas; reviews applications and associated environmental assessment documents to include the physical, natural, and/or human environment; enforcement of environmental laws and/or regulations; prepares evidence for use in reviews and legal actions; responds to OPRA requests; utilizes GIS to review and analyze applications; assists in the continued development of the program and associated rule amendments as needed; does other related duties as required
