PART TIME ROLE- 24 hours/week- 3 days a week, 8 hours a day


The Health & Safety (EHS) team is responsible for designing, developing and implementing EHS procedures, programs, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements. Additional responsibilities include mitigating EHS risks to the company, its employees, the environment and the communities in which it does business.


The EHS partners with our businesses and functions to proactively mitigate EHS risk across the enterprise.


Environment, Health and Safety Sr. Specialist

The EHS Sr. Specialist will work with the local EHS Manager. This position is responsible for developing and implementing EHS solutions in support of the Wabasha, MN manufacturing plant. These solutions are designed to manage, mitigate, and whenever possible, eliminate EHS risks to employees, facilities, products and the communities in which the company operates.


Skills:

Skills/Qualifications 2-3 years experience preferred. ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 experience helpful. Technical Skills Must have collaborative leadership skills to achieve desired results in a highly matrixed work environment Fosters trust, confidence and followership Dedicated to the principal of ethical behavior Must be self-directed, and able to work productively on multiple initiatives simultaneously Must have sound judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills, and not be afraid of rolling up the sleeves to deliver practical solutions Must be able to clearly and succinctly communicate, market and sell value-added solutions Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills Must be creative in developing cost-effective, sensible solutions that deliver results Understanding and experience in EHS Management Systems and their successful implementation Strong substantive knowledge of regulations and guidance promulgated by Federal and State OSHA and EPA, as well as workers' compensation requirements Technical ability to work, collaborate and negotiate with government officials, consultants, and other third-party stakeholders Requires up to 20 percent travel


Education:

Education Bachelors degree in related field preferred. Advanced degree and/or professional certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, CPP, PSP, etc.) preferred. Experience Leadership Skills
