We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team.
The EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety as a core value, excellent computer skills, and at least two years of EHS experience. This direct hire position comes with typical office hours with some flexibility. The pay range for this position is $55,000 to $85,000 annually and includes a generous bonus program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Conduct workplace audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with the maintenance of safety data sheets (SDS) and other regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership to promote a strong safety culture.
• Track and analyze EHS performance metrics and prepare reports.
• Participate in EHS-related meetings, committees, and emergency response planning.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an EHS role within an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other computer systems relevant to EHS functions.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety as a core personal and organizational value.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field is a plus.
