Overview The EHS Manager oversees the development, management and implementation of environmental, health and safety programs, coordinates safety training, monitors safety and health regulations and provides technical support to plant and corporate personnel to prevent injuries, illnesses, damage to property and ensure compliance with federal and state safety and health regulations. Responsibilities Oversees the planning, development, management and implementation of CPI environmental, health and safety programs. Drives environmental, health and safety compliance through the thorough understanding of CPI's operations, engagement of management, and clear application of EHS regulations. Facilitates site safety committee meetings; leads safety action item tracking and provides regular safety management reviews to the site leadership team. Oversees and supports Supervisors/Managers with incident investigation and response; coordinates internal and external resources; develops preventative measures and continuous improvement initiatives, tracking to completion. Leads or assists with the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures and initiatives to minimize potential loss exposures; recommend risk control techniques to eliminate or minimize loss; monitor risk management initiatives to ensure ongoing effectiveness. Coordinates the annual Safety budget and assists in the development of capital expenditure budgets related to environmental, health and safety programs; develops and justifies budget requests. Employs proactive approach to managing workplace safety and accident prevention through Job Hazard Analysis, Behavior-based Safety and Human & Organizational Performance techniques, developing internal inspection processes, coordinating response to third party audits and developing safety awareness training. Supports corporate environmental, health and safety initiatives by managing corporate safety communication & awareness programs and assembling/analyzing KPIs. Oversees the handling and processing of claims related to workers compensation and property incidents, ensuring prompt and accurate action to minimize exposure and liability. Carries out daily operational tasks in an effective and timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Range: $89,400- $111,700 DOE This position is on-site in Littleton, Co.
