As the EHS Manager, you will develop and implement comprehensive EHS strategies for our diverse operations and across our nationwide distribution footprint. Your primary focus will be fostering a culture of safety across our workplaces by working directly with regional and local management to educate and support them in implementing a sustainable, site specific plan in compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other local, state, and federal regulations. This high-impact, high-visibility role will involve collaborating with leadership across our manufacturing, distribution, field service, and fleet environments to create a positive, safe, healthy, compliant, and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Management
- Lead company-wide OSHA compliance by developing, updating, and educating our teams on site specific safety programs across all facilities.
- Deliver engaging onboarding for new associates and ongoing refresher safety training for associates, supervisors, and managers, including specialized instruction based on our business and operational needs.
- Champion a "Safety First" culture through behavior-based safety programs, regular site audits and education, and proactive risk mitigation.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations using Root Cause Analysis and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Oversee the distribution and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and manage respiratory protection, emergency preparedness, and CPR/First Aid programs.
- Lead internal safety audits and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety, ergonomics, and compliance.
- Collaborate with HR and local management injury case management, return to work protocols, and workers compensation administration.
- Drive data analytics and EHS metrics to identify trends and predict areas of focus to reduce injury and illness rates.
- Ensures all OSHA reporting and filings are accurately completed.
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for our organization on all EHS matters. Point person for any on-site inspections or facility requests.
Fleet Safety & DOT Compliance
- Work with transportation team and local management to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and maintain safety programs and training for our fleet operations.
- Deliver engaging fleet safety training. Review and respond to accident and inspection reports and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support DOT compliance, audit readiness, driver safety records, fleet safety policies and protocols.
Environmental Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable EPA regulations for certain facilities (air, stormwater, RCRA, etc.).
- Manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hazardous chemical reporting and training as required.
- Submit required EPA reports and participate in any audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. A certified safety professional is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of EHS experience in manufacturing and distribution. Experience with fleet safety preferred.
- Expert knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices. DOT and EPA knowledge is preferred.
- Proficiency in workers compensation administration and environmental reporting system.
- Prior success in delivery engaging training, education and the development of a EHS plan and programs to drive a positive safety culture.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and analytical skills. Experience building an EHS team.
- Ability to engage with associates at all levels and collaborate with leaders and implement improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience using a variety of technology to deliver training, audits, results, and accountability.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time and be accessible outside of normal working hours.
