Description The National Security Sector at Leidos is seeking a motivated
Entry Level Software Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to launch their careers in software development by contributing to the Fires Division's Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) and Post-Production Software Support (PPSS) Maintenance and Sustainment missions. In this role, you will support engineering and technical services for the CECOM Software Engineering Center's Mission Command Division.
As a key player in our team, you will assist in creating capabilities and providing technical expertise in Mission Command, Fires, and C2 Maneuver systems. Your technical support will be essential for the Family of US Army's FIRES Systems including AFATDS, AN/TQP-53, and LCMR Q49A.
Primary Responsibilities: - Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software for various engineering applications.
- Collaborate with analysts to understand their analytic and interface requirements.
- Help develop tools and interfaces that enhance software functionality.
- Contribute to the design, development, and testing of operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software applications.
- Support the establishment of operational specifications and analyze software requirements.
- Assist in the design of embedded systems software.
- Analyze user needs and contribute to the development of software solutions.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related technical discipline with less than 2 years of relevant software development experience.
- CND, GISF, or SSCP certification may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree with more than 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Pay Range: Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
