Your Next Opportunity Awaits. The National Security Sector (NSS) has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Software Developer within our Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). Become part of a skilled team engaged in Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, and more. You will contribute to a state-of-the-art Cyber Program and help provide IT user support, security, and software development for mobile device analysis and exploitation engineering services for federal clients. This position is pivotal as we prepare for an upcoming contract award.
Your Role Will Include: - Contributing to software development initiatives and gaining practical coding experience while working collaboratively with Agile teams to produce high-quality software increments.
- Assisting with the development of innovative software solutions within an Agile framework.
- Collaborating with senior developers to design and create software applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups, to understand project goals and provide timely updates on progress.
- Implementing assigned tasks and user stories by writing clean and efficient code and conducting basic unit testing to assess software functionality.
- Documenting software designs, implementations, and technical specifications with guidance from senior team members.
- Engaging in self-study and professional development to enhance your skills and stay updated on emerging technologies and Agile practices.
- Collaborating with UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and business analysts to ensure seamless integration of software components.
What We Require: - A current Top Secret security clearance, SCI eligibility, and the ability to pass a Polygraph and a full-scope FBI background investigation.
- At least two years of experience in software development, with familiarity in Agile environments through coursework or internships.
- Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Go, Bash, JavaScript).
- Experience working in Linux-based operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, RedHat, Debian).
- Familiarity with UI/UX development technologies, particularly JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue, and knowledge of database languages like SQLite.
- Experience using issue tracking software, such as Jira, and familiarity with git version control.
Preferred Qualifications: - Relevant certifications in Agile practices, such as PMI-ACP or Certified Scrum Developer (CSD), are a plus but not essential.
