The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is looking for a motivated Entry-Level Network Administrator to join our dynamic cyber security program. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to overseeing development, integration, delivery, and the operations of critical IT managed security services, all aimed at enhancing cybersecurity threat monitoring and ensuring security posture for enterprise systems. This position is in preparation for a future contract award.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the organization's network infrastructure.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your networking skills while working with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and cloud services.
- Help install, configure, and maintain essential network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Provide first-level troubleshooting for network connectivity issues, escalating complex problems as necessary.
- Support employees and remote offices with VPN, VoIP, and remote access solutions.
- Monitor network performance, bandwidth usage, and system alerts to assist with issue resolution.
- Maintain Firewall rules, access controls, and network security settings.
- Apply software updates, patches, and configurations to ensure compliance with established security policies.
- Engage in basic security monitoring to identify and report potential threats.
- Support cloud-based network configurations (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Networks, Google Cloud networking).
- Assist in configuring and maintaining Wi-Fi networks, addressing connectivity issues.
- Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configuration records, and troubleshooting guides.
- Stay informed on networking best practices and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to upgrading and expanding the network infrastructure under supervision.
What does Leidos require from you? - Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance and be a U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor's degree with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience. Work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications: - CompTIA Network+ certification (highly recommended).
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.

Compensation Range: Pay Range: $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
