WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Manager Trainee is a full-time, entry-level position designed to prepare you for a leadership role at 84 Lumber. This hands-on training covers all facets of store operations, aiming for promotion to management. Within 6-12 months, based on performance and availability, you could be promoted, potentially increasing your annual pay by up to 40%. Many Manager Trainees become General Managers within 3-4 years.

Through a structured training plan, you'll gain knowledge in:
- Sales and Customer Service: Enhance sales and assist customers in a retail environment.
- Store Operations and Inventory Management: Manage material flow, stock, and merchandising.
- Blueprint Reading and Estimation: Develop material estimates for construction projects.
- Forklift Operation and Certification: Safely handle materials and equipment.
- Business Management: Learn payroll, invoicing, inventory, and financial analyses.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Improve your skills through comprehensive training.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position does not include supervisory duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: You'll work both indoors and outdoors, assisting customers in various weather conditions. This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 80 pounds), along with other physical activities. You may work around machinery and airborne particles.
Responsibilities: - Payroll, Invoicing, Inventory, and POS Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (prior experience preferred)
- Interpreting and analyzing financial reports
- Reading blueprints and preparing material lists
- Handling common customer inquiries or complaints
Qualifications: REQUIREMENTS: - Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Availability: Full-time schedule (48+ hours/week, including overtime)
