Purpose of Job

The Enterprise Systems Engineer will conduct a wide range of regional support and implementation activities for NSNA's servers, storage, networks, and applications, focusing on cybersecurity standards and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing solutions to resolve server, storage, and network issues, using project management and process building methods to align with IT security policies. Additionally, the role will collaborate with regional IT teams, internal departments, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure system integrity and performance.

Major Duties/Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, MFA, and the latest password and data protection strategies to prevent and detect unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Investigate the suitability, assist with the design, and coordinate the implementation of effective monitoring, maintenance, integration, and automation processes for server, storage, and network infrastructure, ensuring network reliability and availability.
  • Communicate and collaborate with regional IT teams, NSNA internal departments, external vendors, and other stakeholders to analyze requirements and make recommendations to IT leadership for the design and implementation of robust security measures and solutions aligning with IT strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and testing of disaster recovery plans to ensure rapid recovery of IT services in the event of a major incident.
  • Provide guidelines and assist Enterprise Systems Administrators in troubleshooting complex issues, performing system maintenance and upgrades, and supporting end-users with escalated tickets.
  • Participate in incident response activities, helping to identify, contain, and remediate security incidents and system outages
  • Assist the IT Service Delivery team as an escalation point for technical support, user access management, and guidelines for supporting applications such as M365, SharePoint, line-of-business applications, and others as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes, ensuring consistency and compliance with configuration and change management standards.
  • Ensure infrastructure systems comply with ISO 27001 and TISAX controls, and participate in continuous improvement activities involving policies, procedures, and user guide development to ensure standardization.
  • Stay up to date with and investigate new developments and trends in technology solutions related to infrastructure and cybersecurity.
Education, Experience and Knowledge

Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge and skills that are necessary.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related experience.
Related Experience

Related Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in IT with 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network security, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, MFA, and data protection strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with server, storage, and network infrastructure monitoring, maintenance, integration, and automation processes.
  • Experience in developing and testing disaster recovery plans and participating in incident response activities.
  • Experience with hypervisor and VDI solutions in a hybrid cloud environment, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and ITIL best practices.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting complex IT systems, including servers, storage, and networks.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 and TISAX controls and compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in supporting applications such as M365, SharePoint, and other line-of-business applications.
  • Technical proficiency in hypervisor technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and VDI solutions (e.g., Citrix, VMware Horizon).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with regional IT teams, internal departments, external vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to design and develop solutions for IT infrastructure issues.
  • Project management skills to coordinate and implement IT security policies and processes.
  • Ability to stay up to date with the latest developments and trends in technology solutions related to infrastructure and cybersecurity.

Additional Information

Work Hours

Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5pm. Off-hours as needed.

Hybrid schedule, 2 days onsite / 3 days offsite

Travel Requirements

5% international and/or domestic.

If domestic travel is necessary, valid drivers' license is required.

If international travel is necessary, valid passport is required.
