WAF (WAN App FW) toolset, Wireshark, & Web CTRL.

Skills Preferred
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Strong customer service, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills.
Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Visio.
Effective reading, written and oral communication fluency in English.

Work Experience Required
This classification must have a minimum of five (5) years of broad knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols, have computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware, and increasingly responsible Information Technology skills to include Cisco competencies; must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) in the capacity of a Network Systems Administrator or similar role; must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience within the last four (4) years in a security monitoring role.

Work Experience Preferred
3 years of experience utilizing complex large-scale network infrastructure devices, including Cisco enterprise or carrier-class routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, wireless controllers/access points, and Cisco Nexus switches.
2 years of experience utilizing enterprise-level monitoring tools such as OpenNMS, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco Prime Collaboration, NetScout nGenius, Route Explorer, Elastic Search, SCOM, vROPS, Secure Works, Dynatrace, Uptime Robot, IBM Tivoli, WebCTRL, CACTI, StruxureWare, and Cherwell system.
2 years of experience using Windows servers, Linux servers, and IBM Mainframe z/OS operating systems.

Education/Training Required
This classification requires the possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Computer Science field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Education/Training Preferred
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology related.
Certification of CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA), and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

Additional Information
Position will be assigned to work different shifts including morning, swing, and graveyard, in 24/7 enterprise IT environment. Southern California residents only. This is a hybrid schedule.
