Description The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Network Engineer to support a diverse range of wide area networks (WANs) and local area networks (LANs). In this role, you will provide expert-level routing support within an enterprise infrastructure and act as a specialist in routing technologies across various vendors.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform operations and maintenance on both Juniper and Cisco routers, including advanced troubleshooting at Layer 2 and Layer 3 levels and executing routing changes.
- Diagnose network issues related to connectivity, latency, and asymmetric routing.
- Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPNs, and VRFs.
- Facilitate technical exchange meetings to troubleshoot and resolve issues with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and application owners.
- Contribute to problem management by conducting root cause analysis of recurring network issues.
- Provide ongoing O&M support for incident management and outages, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with IT teams on various projects and initiatives.
- Engage with relevant technical support teams to address network traffic concerns as needed.
- Utilize monitoring tools and log collectors to perform in-depth analyses of traffic anomalies and network issues.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), and Forcepoint firewall technologies is a plus but not required.
Qualifications: - Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
- A total of 16 years of experience that may include a blend of work and education (Doctorate & 8 years, Master's & 10 years, Bachelor's & 12 years, Associate's & 14 years, or High School Diploma & 16 years).
- Must hold at least a DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification (e.g., Security+).
Additional Qualifications: - Proven experience in configuring and troubleshooting Juniper and Cisco routers and switches.
- Familiarity with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VPNs, VRFs, and MPLS.
- Thorough understanding of routing, switching, IP subnetting, Network Address Translation (NAT), and security technologies.
- Demonstrated capability in engineering and modifying connectivity rulesets to meet new customer requirements.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create schematic diagrams, technical manuals, and documentation for effective equipment maintenance.
- Working knowledge of Service Now or other IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Pay Range: $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
