The Enterprise Knowledge Systems Analyst is a firmwide position primarily responsible for the operations, maintenance, and enhancement of the firm's intranet and other knowledge systems. The position requires strong analytical problem solving, and critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve customer needs and challenges. This includes content publishing and maintenance. Assisting customers in the design, and development of new content pages, web forms, and workflows. This position requires strong team skills, a positive attitude, a rigorous work habit, and professionalism in the workplace as well as strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. This role requires a motivated self-learner. As this is a customer facing role, excellent communication and people skills are essential. This is a firmwide, full-time, exempt position resident in our Houston office.
Essential duties and responsibilities: Customer Support
- Assist customers in publishing content on the firm's intranet.
- Assist customers in maintaining their content and applications.
- Analyze and assess customer needs received in the help inbox.
Knowledge Systems Platforms and Applications Administration and Maintenance
- Works with the Knowledge Systems team to maintain the Firm's intranet and library asset management systems
- Maintains the library asset management and webform systems by keeping up to date on versions and updates
- Assists librarians in configuration changes to their asset management system.
- Troubleshoots issues related to the KS systems and products.
Intranet functionality, web sites, applications, features, workflows, forms development, and integrations
- Works with the Enterprise Knowledge Systems team to architect and develop firm intranet sites on premises and in the cloud.
- Develops workflows and forms to automate various business processes; documents business processes; designs, develops, tests, and publishes workflows and forms
- Understands and uses built-in SharePoint features to develop additional functionality.
Quality Assurance Testing
- Assists with quality assurance/testing of new products, features and functionality in the Firm's business and knowledge management systems.
- Lead tester of Knowledge Systems functionality on various platforms and versions.
Data Gathering and Analysis
- Uses available data gathering and reporting tools to analyze and provide information to customers.
Intranet Content Development, Management, and Publishing
- Assists in providing content development and publishing support to offices, administrative departments, and practice departments.
Qualifications:Required - Bachelor's degree in: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field, or 4 years of professional experience in related fields.

- Intermediate to advanced skills in Word including the proper use of styles, automatic numbering, and merge features.
- Experience in creating and giving presentations.
Preferred - Experience in SharePoint publishing, security administration, and maintenance.
- Experience working in SharePoint 2019 including familiarity with SharePoint Designer; creation of document libraries, lists, and workflows; and creation/manipulation of webparts.
- Experience in creating SharePoint forms, especially using Qdabra FormsViewer.
- Experience in Handshake knowledge management application.
- Experience in writing in one of: Python, JavaScript, ASPX, C , Java or other programming language.
- Experience in HTML, CSS, XSL, and XML documents.
- Experience with SQL databases, stored procedures, and SSIS packages.
- Experience in generating reports in SharePoint or HarePoint Analytics
- Understanding of the design and application of hierarchical security systems.
- Experience with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Azure, PowerApps/Power Platform.
- Experience with maintaining or supporting other cloud applications.
- Familiarity with the typical administrative support areas and business processes of a multi-office law or professional services firm.
- Experience working in a support services role in a large, multi-office law or professional services firm environment.

Extent of Contact (Within and outside the Firm): The Systems Analyst requires contact with various people both internal and external to the Firm in the form of meetings (in person and virtually), emails, messages, and presentations.
Internal:
- a high degree of contact with BPS technical staff.
- a moderate degree of contact with members of office, administrative support services, practice departments, IT and service desk staff.
- a low to moderate degree of contact with lawyers and staff in all offices.
External:
- a moderate degree of contact with representatives of vendors of the Firm who provide products or services to the IT Department.
- Position requires a moderate degree of contact with industry/peer organizations.
Physical Demands: - Must be able to work at a computer and telephone for extensive periods of time.
- Must be able to routinely lift and carry files and other items up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to function in a standard office environment.
Working Condition and Environment: - This position is a full-time position requiring a 5-day work week and standard hours as outlined in the firm policy manual.
- Must be available after hours and on weekends when necessary to meet established deadlines, address high priority alerts or stay current with occasional peaks in workload.
- Must be able to sit, concentrate, and work at pc for 8 - 10 hours daily.
- This position may require travel to the firm's U.S. offices. Required travel may, at times, involve multiple-day trips requiring overnight stays.
- Work is normally performed in a typical office work environment or remotely per the current office policy and guidelines.
- This position is fully remote. You will be required to come to the office periodically for team meetings or when there is a business or client need.
