Enterprise Infrastructure Lead with Security Clearance

Must be within working distance to Vandenberg, CA Clearance Required: TS/SCI (SAP/SAR eligibility preferred) The Enterprise Infrastructure Lead(SME) for 24/7 Operations Support (OS) will provide expert-level technical leadership, system administration, and infrastructure management. This individual will oversee hardware, software, networking, and classified system operations to maintain mission-critical infrastructure. The Infrastructure SME will serve as a technical authority for network security, system integration, and operational resilience, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, infrastructure best practices, and mission objectives. Candidate must be familiar and worked in a 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC), or Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) environment, and a hybrid cloud environment.
Ideal candidates will have worked in Space Force, Air Force, other Dept of Defense branches, or Dept of State. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Operations & System Administration: Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, and system architecture supporting Space C2 operations.
Network & Cybersecurity Management: Ensure network integrity, security, and performance in classified and unclassified environments.
Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex infrastructure and network issues.
Agile-Based Reporting & Documentation: Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and system diagrams.
Collaboration & Training: Work alongside Program Managers, Shift Managers, and 24/7 Operations Teams to provide technical expertise. Required Background Clearance Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- SAP/SAR eligibility preferred
2. Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure systems
- Experience with classified systems and secure networks
- Familiarity with virtualization, cloud platforms, and hybrid infrastructure (e.g., VMware, Azure, AWS)
- Ability to lead system upgrades and tech refresh projects
- Knowledge of DoD RMF compliance, DISA STIGs, and cybersecurity controls
3. Operational Responsibilities
- Provide onsite infrastructure support
- Oversee infrastructure maintenance, troubleshooting, and Tier 3 escalation
- Support ATLAS monitoring system and integration with Space C2 systems
4. Collaboration & Documentation
- Coordinate with Shift Managers, Ops Leads, and PM
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Utilize JIRA and Confluence for Agile-based ticket tracking and reporting Preferred Qualifications Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect.
Familiarity with ATLAS monitoring system, Space C2 platforms, and cloud-based infrastructure.
Experience with software-defined networking (SDN), automation, and DevSecOps methodologies.
Work Location & Schedule
• Onsite role at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), CA, with hybrid options for non-classified work. Support 24/7 operations, including occasional after-hours and on-call duties.
