Program Overview Engineering modernization and integration practices to include Digital Engineering and Agile at Scale for all of NGA, NSG, and ASG. About The Role Join NGA's Enterprise Engineering & Architecture Integration and Modernization Division to drive modernization of the Joint Ground Architecture between NGA and its Mission Partner. We are seeking a Mid-level Systems Engineer with hands-on Systems Engineering and Integration experience and working knowledge of GEOINT, the TCPED cycle, and the NGA and/or NRO architecture to support engineering analysis and implementation planning for Joint Ground Architecture modernization activities. You will: Lead Joint Agency Integration efforts, establishing workflows, digital dashboards, and collaboration portals (Jira, Confluence, Tableau).
Provide systems engineering support, assessing enterprise architecture, requirements, and integration impacts and risks while contributing to test and transition activities.
Participate in cross-organizational Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), to coordinate and implement joint ground architecture modernization projects.
Participate in internal NGA and Joint Agency Boards, to drive cross-organizational / Agency coordination. Contribute to the development and enterprise coordination of Requests for Change (RFCs) and Risks associated with Joint Agency ground modernization. Develop digital dashboards and collaboration portals (Jira, Confluence, Tableau) to manage and creatively visualize Joint Agency initiatives.
Build effective relationships across government and contractor teams. This role offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you'll play a key role in modernizing NGA's joint ground architecture to deliver GEOINT mission capabilities. Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or 6 years of working experience as a Systems Engineer in lieu of degree.
A minimum of 6 years of working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle (e.g., Requirements, Architecture, CONOPS, Integration, Test, Transition, Risk Management, Schedule Management, and/or Engineering Assessments).
Familiarity / experience in the field of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Systems / services across the GEOINT Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) cycle

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range Details Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
