Description As an Enterprise Data Platform Lead, you will be responsible for being an individual contributor on building an Enterprise Data Platform utilizing a suite of Microsoft data cloud products. You will architect, design, implement, and maintain enterprise data platforms, data models that ensure the accurate, efficient, and secure organization of data across the enterprise. This role requires collaboration with business units, IT teams, and other stakeholders to develop consistent and holistic data models that support business objectives and analytical needs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: The Enterprise Data Platform Lead has the primary enterprise accountability of the organization's data and analytics (D&A) assets to drive value for business stakeholders. This includes creation and management of data and analytics architecture, and execution of related programs and practices that drive measurable business outcomes. This role involves establishing standard framework and architecture and operating the D&A function and mature D&A culture; building trust and managing data; and evolving technology capabilities.
- Design and operate a data platform from ingestion to consumption.
- Design/Research/Implement required process components to enable MS Azure functionalities (i.e. MS Fabric, Azure Purview, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Power BI, etc.)
- Ability to craft a back end that can test, and self-serve capabilities offered by Azure.
- Design and implement robust Data Warehousing solutions to support scalable data storage, retrieval, and analytics for enterprise systems.
- Define and implement the data visualization strategy leveraging Microsoft products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and data analytics goals.
- Evolve the best practices and communicate them to relevant technical stakeholders.
- Overseedelivery models,methods, and practices for creation ofdataproducts foundry to ensure consistent application and use of data and analytics solutions.
- Embed security, risk, and compliance into the data governance model and leverage qualitative measurements to ensure adherence.

Additional Responsibilities - Establish enterprise data architecture principles, frameworks data governance standards, secure stakeholder and management approvals as needed.
- Assist in selecting data technologies and developing usage guidelines and procedures.
- Monitor data management trends and align them with business strategies, present evaluations to management.
- Create and oversee a centralized datamanagementservice to ensure quality, traceability, timeliness, usability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with product teams, data scientists, and stakeholders to meet data requirements.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and data integrity plans with business technology partners to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Oversee the development and deployment of the enterprise's data and analytics platform for digital business.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in data modeling tools (e.g., ERWin, etc).
- Experience with cloud Databases, Data warehouses and Data lakes (e.g. Azure Data Warehouse, Azure One Lake, Azure SQL DB, Synapse Analytics, or similar).
- You have an in-depth understanding of DBMS, DW design principles (star/snowflake schema), ETL framework and modeling constructs (OLAP/ROLAP, Relational DB).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in architecting complex enterprise data platforms, managing structured and unstructured data sources.
- Proficiency in sourcing, transforming, and processing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Demonstrated ability to influence technology strategy and best practices across peer and leadership groups in an agile/rapid development environment.
- Proficient in writing complex SQL Queries, Store Procedures, Views and ETL in re-designing DB/DW/Data Lakes using SQL server, SSIS and any custom scripts.
Additional Skills (Optional): - Certifications in data visualization or related fields (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
- Experience in PaaS offerings from Azure / Databricks.
- Experience with programming languages and frameworks relevant to data visualization.
- Experience in maintaining and monitoring ETL jobs by making sure that jobs are completed in a timely manner.
- Experience working with Reporting and DBA teams for any query performance tuning and optimization as required.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for managing sensitive data and ensure compliance with GDPR, PII and similar guidelines.
- Experience working with Foundry for data integration and analytics workflows.
- Experience with AI/machine learning/deep learning is a plus.
- Work experience in the utility services industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of data governance practices and data quality management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
