The Data Development Section and Analytics Development Section are looking for energetic Information Technology (IT) Supervisor II's to assist in management of the modernization of its information technology environment and alignment of activities across the software development life cycle (SDLC) in order to provide critical statewide services. The Data Development Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision and oversight of the Enterprise Date Lake development team working in the Software Engineering domain. In the Analytics Development Section (ADS), the Data Development Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision and oversight of the Modeling and BI Development team working in the Software Engineering domain. The IT Supervisor II is responsible for independently planning, organizing, and providing administrative and technical direction to IT professionals who design, develop and troubleshoot data integration services for FTB's enterprise data stores. The Supervisor monitors section workloads with input from the data analysis and testing supervisors, assuring delivery dates are met. The Supervisor creates cross-training opportunities to meet workforce planning objectives and to ensure adequate workload coverage. The Supervisor is responsible for interviewing, selecting and hiring new personnel, as well as, preparing performance evaluation and probationary reports. The Supervisor acts as a leader and works cooperatively with business and technical staff in support of planning activities and promotes an environment and atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation consistent with the department's values among staff and managers. The IT Supervisor II will also work closely across the Development Bureau (DB) and Technology Services Division (TSD) to ensure development aligns to bureau and division goals through collaborative relationships. Additionally, the IT Supervisor II will carry out and support FTB's mission and vision by performing a variety of managerial activities that provide an opportunity to work effectively with subordinate staff and peers across the Enterprise.

Working Conditions - This position is eligible for limited remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of four days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.
- This position may require occasional off hours support, you must be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and able to occasionally adjust work schedule to meet operational needs.
