Overview This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
This position supports initiatives within the Bank that improve enterprise data quality, governance, and analytics. Drives positive change across the Bank through technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. Creates and maintains technical documentation related to enterprise data. Provides expert consultation to team members, the Information Technology department, and other stakeholders on tactics that achieve data management goals.
Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance on the design and implementation of the Collibra platform.
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across complex data landscapes.
- Collaborate with data stewards and stakeholders to align governance initiatives and business objectives in support of building a future state Collibra strategy and roadmap.
- Lead cross-functional data governance teams and develop strategies to influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Experience driving data governance transformation, fostering data stewardship culture, and achieving measurable improvements in data quality and governance practices.
- Experience in advanced data governance concepts, data quality management, data stewardship, and data lineage tracking.
- Experience in implementing and managing data governance tools and technologies to support enterprise-wide data governance initiatives.
- Advanced knowledge of data profiling techniques, master data management, data cataloging, and metadata management.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, working in teams to iteratively develop and deliver data products.
- Experience in data governance, data management, or related roles, focusing on leading data governance projects and initiatives.
- Experience in data quality assessment, data remediation strategies, and data governance maturity assessments.
- Ensure regulatory compliance through robust data management practices.
- Contribute to AI and ML usage to enhance data governance experience.
- Create presentations and solution designs for executive leadership demos.
- Develops and delivers meta-governance recommendations.
- Translate business and technical requirements into Collibra designs, oversee the implementation and validate results.
Qualifications- Certified Collibra Ranger profile is a must.
- Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of data management experience, with at least 5 years in Data Governance experience working with cloud platforms, network-based API integration (REST/JSON), and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of the leading PaaS providers, Data Lakes, Databases, and Integration platforms (SQL, Databricks, GCP, Snowflake etc.)
- Experience with Java or Python for custom software implementations in Enterprise Linux or Unix environments.
- Hands-on experience with Data Quality, Data Pipelines, Data Orchestration, or Job Control tools.
- Experienced in leading blueprinting, design workshops, and requirements gathering activities.
- Proficient with big data technologies such as Kubernetes, Spark, and Hadoop.
- Familiar with enterprise security solutions such as LDAP or Kerberos.
- Strongly skilled in developing functional specifications, technical specifications, and test specifications.
- Prior experience in Finance/Banking industry is a plus.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
