Overview Abacus Technology is seeking an Enterprise Architect to provide high-level guidance regarding system, infrastructure, and process design for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Lackland AFB. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities Analyze, plan, design, implement, document, assess, and manage the enterprise structural framework to align IT strategy, plans, and systems with the mission, goals, structure, and processes of the organization. Develop reference models of the enterprise and maintaining the information in the IT repository. Determine the gaps between the current and the target architecture and recommend plans for transitioning to target architecture. Recommend the policies and principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise architecture. Identify opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes and utilize emerging technologies. Promote and educate customers and stakeholders on the use and value of the enterprise architecture. Provide enterprise architecture guidance, support, and coordination to customers and IT project teams. Document the enterprise architecture infrastructure, including the business units and key processes, using modeling techniques. Ensure technical integration is achieved across the enterprise by participating in test planning, validation, and reviews. Evaluate the impact of enterprise architecture products and services on IT investments, business operations, stakeholder satisfaction, and other outcomes. Coordinate and conduct governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture. Ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture. Qualifications 12+ years experience in enterprise architecture including at least 5 years in a DoD environment. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Must have an understanding of processes and information requirements to develop segment architecture. Comfortable interacting heavily with clients and end users to assess current state of systems and architecture, as well as future needs. Experience with business and system analysis. Familiar with MS Project for developing schedules and plans. Experience with risk analysis and mitigation. Must be detail oriented and have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Requires good communications skills and the ability to work professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
