ECS is seeking an Enterprise Architect to work remotely.

ECS plays an integral role in providing Enterprise Architecture support for the Office of Enterprise Management. There are 6 domains in the Business Mission Area (BMA) of the Army, and our team provides critical support for both implementation of the Army Business Enterprise Architecture (ABEA) and documentation and strategy around compliance architecture. The primary objective of the OEM is to develop business strategy and policy, enables governance and promotes best in class business practices to improve efficiency and facilitate innovative solutions and improvements across the Army. As a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for supporting architecture for Business, Solution and Data architecture initiatives.

Job Description:

The Senior Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for leading the oversight of business and system architecture using a mix of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and tailored products to meet the needs of stakeholders. You will work with functional experts to guide the business architecture and system owners to develop system architecture - both for the legacy systems and modernized Army systems that is expected to subsume all of the current legacy systems. Quick turnaround delivery of the architecture may be expected to respond to taskers driven by the Office of Enterprise Management (OEM) or as materials to support one of the product teams responsible for development of the large Army Programs. In some cases, development and delivery of the architecture may require creative approaches and problem-solving techniques to work through constraints.

Salary Range: 108,000 - $195,000

  • Experience with leading meetings and developing presentations and briefings for use by senior leaders.
  • Experience with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) developing business, system, data, and other products and views.
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including business functional experts and system owners, to derive inputs to the architect.
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment (Scaled Agile Framework preferred) to deliver architecture products and views to support system development.
  • Experience implementing creative approaches to solve problems and drive the development of architecture to work through constraints, including both access to functional stakeholders and tight timelines.
  • Experience leading and mentoring other architects on architecture best practices.
  • Modeling and reporting experience with modeling software (such as EKR ARIS, Erwin, MagicDraw, UML Designer, etc)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Clearance: Secret Clearance
