The Enterprise Architect oversees the creation and implementation of technology solutions for the entire organization. This position involves converting business strategies into technical roadmaps that ensure scalability, security, and efficiency across all technology areas. Key responsibilities include establishing standards, policies, and procedures, and promoting their adoption and execution in strategic architecture plans. As a key member of the IT leadership team, the Enterprise Architect develops and maintains the company's technology architecture blueprint, ensuring it aligns with strategic initiatives, operational goals, and the overall growth strategy.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and implement enterprise architecture strategies that support business objectives.
- Define, implement, and execute the processes for maintenance and conformance management of the company's Enterprise Architecture.
- Establish and enforce architectural standards, principles, design patterns, and frameworks to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality across the organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including executives, IT teams, and business units, to align technology initiatives with business needs.
- Oversee the development of architectural roadmaps and technology blueprints.
- Design and document the current and target state architectures, including business processes, data, applications, and technology infrastructure.
- Update and handle ongoing maintenance of key Enterprise Architecture deliverables, providing architectural leadership in the resolutions of inter-project issues.
- Support the implementation of architectural changes, managing the associated risks and ensuring successful adoption.
- Assess current IT landscape and recommend improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and security.
- Lead the selection and integration of enterprise applications, platforms, and cloud services.
- Oversee technical analysis and design capabilities. Setting the context, defining common elements, and creating patterns and standards to apply the details at a project level.
- Establish and continuously update contacts within business units to understand activities, business drivers, requirements, and solutions strategies being considered.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Guide solution architects and development teams in implementing best practices and architectural frameworks.
- Promote the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to manage costs and improve how information flows.
- Validate designs produced by third party vendors wishing to sell solutions to the organization.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies, encouraging innovation and digital transformation strategies are prioritized.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and solutions that can improve business processes and enhance the organization's capabilities.
- Facilitate technology design workshops or emerging technologies.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
- Collaborates with technology platform architects to provide a consensus based scalable and adaptable architectural solution.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company and operational needs.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in IT architecture, enterprise solutions, and strategic technology planning.
- 4+ years of experience in an IT architectural or technical leadership capacity required along with direct technology implementation experience.
- Experience with technical, application, and information architecture delivery techniques and methodologies in manufacturing and distribution environments.
- Technical experience in Azure, M365, Dynamics, Middleware, .NET, Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Oracle, etc.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, specifically TOGAF; enterprise-level certifications, such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect are preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: - Advanced knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, enterprise applications, and cloud-based technologies and services, specifically Azure, M365, and Dynamics.
- An experienced self-starter and builder, with strong collaboration skills to work with a diverse cross-functional team.
- Experience in all phases of project life cycle with a demonstrative history executing effective project management.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience in stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical skills to assess business needs and develop scalable architecture solutions.
- Ability to create and present high-level architectural designs and roadmaps, including examples of models built using established standards in Enterprise Framework.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to present and report out findings.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership, proven ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships.
- An understanding of, and ability to use, design patterns to steer business requirements into enterprise-wide technical strategies.
- Proven ability documenting processes using multiple architectural models.
- Demonstrated ability to direct the keyboard depth in one or more popular programming languages like Java, Go, C , Rust, Python, etc.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, design techniques, and compliance standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to comfortably move from strategic to tactical, responding to the demands of the business.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
