Who We're Looking For (Position Overview): Spry Methods is on the search for a Enterprise Architect (Senior) to join our team in Quantico, VA.
We are looking for someone who designs, builds and implements and maintains enterprise class systems and processes to support mission needs and develops the baseline and target architecture for a production environment. Align standards and frameworks with overall business and technology strategy. Identifies design gaps in existing and proposed architecture and recommends changes and/or enhancements to ensure stability, interoperability, portability and/or scalability of system architecture.
What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities): - ITSU is responsible for at a minimum, eight (8) production networks, eight (8) production systems, twenty (20) production applications, and a collection of IoT devices, IS, OT, and workflow/form solutions.
- ITSU is responsible for all LD cybersecurity. Technology requirements reside within both unclassified and classified enclaves, to include systems which reside on FBI enterprise hardware and ITSU managed networks, and in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud over classified and unclassified regions.
- The ITSU desire is to consolidate IT and enhance capability, to include migrating workloads to the cloud, and enhance its broader Laboratory-wide network, currently known as LABNET where appropriate.
- ITSU is responsible for managing the Laboratory's scientific instrumentation. The main production environment is located at our primary facility, FBI Laboratory in Quantico, VA.
- As it currently stands, ITSU maintains a cloud environment on both AWS Secret (SC2S) and AWS GovCloud (US).
- LABApps environments include Development, Pre-Production and Production environment. As the architect, you will design the overall system and have familiarity with total system design to include software, hardware, and systems integration.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements): - Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Plans and leads major technology assignments.
- Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- May supervise others.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience recommended. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
- Experience with the following:
- Develop and maintain a wide variety of standards-based web services that expose capabilities from COTS, GOTS, and open-source tools and applications.
- Provide capabilities that can integrate with other major and general support systems.
- Develop, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot production web applications in ASP.NET and/or ASP.NET Core, C , HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Develop software-based solutions using Agile techniques while adhering to the lifecycle management standards established within the FBI LCM 7.3 or newer as well as IEEE 828, IEEE 12207, and IEEE 15288.
- Linux/Windows systems
- Have prior coding experience in C/C , Java, Python or the like
Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications): - AWS Certs
- TOGAF certification or familiarity
