Enterprise Architect (EA) Manager

Are you a strategic technology leader passionate about aligning IT investments with business growth? We're looking for an Enterprise Architect (EA) Manager to lead our architecture strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency across our IT landscape.

You are responsible for:
  • Establish and enforce enterprise architecture standards to drive consistency, security, and interoperability.
  • Provide strategic oversight for enterprise-wide initiatives like Fusion and the Enterprise Data Platform.
  • Lead governance processes (e.g., Technology Review Board) to standardize technology solutions and optimize resource allocation.
  • Foster innovation while proactively managing risks related to technology sprawl and technical debt.
  • Align IT investments with business objectives, ensuring scalability and long-term success.

Minimum Requirements
Enterprise Architect (EA) Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field
  • AND7-10 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or related disciplines
  • PLUStwo (2) year prior leadership experience.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Experience combining Enterprise architecture, solution architecture, solutions implementation, project management, operations management, and team leadership.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Enterprise Architecture.
  • Expert certification preferred.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT governance, Technology Strategy and Project/Portfolio Management processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS).
  • Ability to prioritize and direction staff work to achieve team objectives.
  • Service, project and results-orientation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High-energy work ethic with the ability to establish vision, drive change and deliver results.
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams to develop, deliver, operationalize, document and support solutions.
  • Knowledge of developing and managing continuous improvement programs.
Major Accountabilities
1) Define and maintain enterprise architecture strategy and frameworks aligned with organizational goals and priorities.

2) Lead the development, communication, and enforcement of architecture standards, principles, and guidelines for security, scalability, interoperability, and disaster recovery

3) Provide strategic direction for enterprise-wide technology adoption, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT roadmaps

4) Chair the Technology Review Board (TRB), facilitating decision-making on new technologies, standards deviations, and architectural proposals.

5) Ensure technology decisions support long-term compatibility, reduce complexity, and enhance the scalability of the organization's technology landscape.

6) Oversee architectural governance processes, ensuring adherence to standards across programs, projects, and portfolios.

7) Drive innovation by researching and evaluating emerging technologies, providing recommendations for enterprise adoption.

8) Contribute to IT operational excellence objectives focused on reliable service delivery.

9) Governance and oversight of project solution quality specifically focused on reliability, benefits realization, security and safety.

10) Active stakeholder and driver in establishing best practices for architecture governance.

11) Own and lead the execution of the process development and improvement roadmap for architecture.

12) Partner and collaborate with other teams to deliver a holistic IT governance program with a coordinated set of continuous improvement initiatives.

Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners-based employees).
