The Opportunity: Abbott is looking for an
Enterprise Architect- Digital to join the Digital Technology Solutions Architecture team.
As an Enterprise Architect, you will play a critical role in the delivery of best-in-class consumer experiences. You will provide critical thought leadership and direction to push the limits of technology design and innovation across digital business capabilities, operating models, and solution designs.
This role will focus on solving Abbott's business needs in Social, Mobile, Web, Martech, Data architectures, and AI/GAI areas with a focus on providing senior technical leadership and being a key influencer of Abbott's next-generation architectures.
The candidate should have advanced-level expertise, with emphasis on global Healthcare, in the following areas:
What You'll Work On: - Serve as the key technology leader to establish and provide direction to implement contemporary solution architectures to support Abbott's digital and Gen AI transformation initiatives.
- Translate business strategies into requirements for specific systems, applications, or process designs for complex IT solutions and integration architectures.
- Collaborate and partner with Business and IT leaders to drive business needs with use cases and requirements from ideation to implementation.
- Rapidly build prototypes helping businesses quickly innovate and ideate new business technology capabilities.
- Conduct tool and technology selection processes, driving standardization and reuse of industry-leading technology across the organization.
- Develop best practices for enterprise technologies and manage large-scale multi-technology projects.
- Demonstrate strong technical leadership skills in driving Abbott's enterprise architecture standards through scalable design frameworks, technical trade-offs, and best practices for consistent solution practices.
- Lead technical projects with various product teams to architect, build, design, and scale next-generation enterprise technology platforms.
- Serve as the technical expert, researching, evaluating, and solving business problems using enterprise technology platforms related to multi-channel experience solutions including Martech, Customer Identity, Consent, E-commerce, data analytics, and AI/GAI solutions.
- Influence and establish best engineering practices through solid design decisions, processes, and tools as a member of the architecture review committee.
- Set strategies and oversee the deployment of large-scale enterprise projects across multiple technologies.
- Drive continuous technology and process improvement initiatives, including governance of the enterprise technology platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to architects and engineering teams, working closely with architects and business leaders.
- Develop multi-year product roadmaps, providing vision and translating it into tactical enterprise engineering blueprints.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU'LL BRING Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree/ master's degree preferred
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in architecting in digital landscapes.
- Minimum 8+ years of digital marketing, web design, mobile or interactive media on an enterprise level.
- Excellent working knowledge and experience or familiarity with technologies and best practices in areas not limited to technologies in Direct-to-consumer, Customer Experience, Marketing CRM , social engagement, data-driven marketing (DMP), paid display, audience selection patterns, and tag management is recommended.
- Excellent track record in delivering complex and cross-functional programs
- Prior experience in conducting Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate solutions and designing Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) is highly recommended.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Working experience in understanding HealthCare business domains, commercial and digital marketing domains experiences, medical technologies, and compliance requirements is preferred.
- Advanced-level knowledge in at least 3 of the following: composite frameworks for event streaming, distributed system design microservice architectures , data architectures, AI/GenAI solution frameworks , mobile/web frameworks, multi-cloud, security, and privacy is recommended.
- Strong communication skills, high standards for quality, and attention to detail
- Self-starter and enthusiastic personality who can work well both independently and as a team member.
