About the Role: We are seeking a skilled
Enterprise Applications Engineer to enhance our IT team's capabilities in managing, optimizing, and securing critical business applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Director of IT Systems and Engineering to ensure seamless operation, security, and efficiency across our enterprise systems. Your expertise in application lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and proactive system monitoring will be instrumental in maintaining a reliable and user-friendly technology environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Application Support & Administration: Manage and troubleshoot the firm's business-critical applications, including Citrix, SQL, and SCCM/MECM, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborative Issue Resolution: Work with internal teams and external vendors to diagnose and resolve technical challenges, delivering clear and professional communication throughout the process.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of applications-from deployment and updates to retirement-adhering to industry best practices.
- System Optimization: Maintain and refine workstation and server images to uphold security and performance standards.
- Security & Compliance: Execute monthly patching cycles, address urgent vulnerabilities, and ensure all endpoints meet security requirements.
- Proactive Monitoring: Identify and mitigate potential system issues before they impact end users, maintaining high availability and performance.
- Escalation Support: Serve as a technical escalation point for application-related incidents, providing root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
- Documentation & Compliance: Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, following IT policies, procedures, and change management protocols.
- After-Hours Availability: Participate in scheduled maintenance, emergency response, and project work outside standard business hours as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise application support, preferably within legal or professional services. (Senior-level candidates with additional expertise will also be considered.)
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) for OS deployment, application packaging, and patch management.
- Expertise in Citrix, Azure, Active Directory, and Group Policy administration.
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell or similar) for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Familiarity with legal industry applications (iManage, Litera, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Intune MDM) is a plus.
- SQL Server experience, including query writing and basic database management.
- Problem-Solving & Communication:
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and deliver effective, user-centric solutions.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical details for diverse audiences.
- Adaptability & Organization:
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to provide occasional after-hours support for critical needs.
Education & Certifications:- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, IT, or similar) or equivalent practical experience.
- ITIL certification or familiarity with IT service management best practices is advantageous.
