Position Details:


Our client is a well-funded Series B startup that recently secured a substantial round to accelerate growth. They're building a high-velocity, cloud-native data modeling platform already trusted by global enterprise data teams to power modern data governance, collaboration, and cloud architecture. Strategic partners include Snowflake and Databricks, and their customer base spans multiple industries, including Hulu, Disney, Home Depot, and Nestlé.


Headquartered in San Diego, CA, they're expanding their Sales team - seeking a hunter/closer, coachable, and technically fluent Enterprise Account Executive (AE) to help drive strategic growth and adoption across Fortune 5000 customers. In this role, you'll own the full sales cycle - from outbound prospecting to closing.


You'll work a mix of inbound leads and self-sourced opportunities, targeting Chief Data Officers and related senior data governance and engineering leaders. Strong organization and pipeline management (in HubSpot) and a proactive outreach mindset will be keys to success.

What You'll Do:


  • Drive new customer acquisition and expansion in accounts - ICP's are data-driven organizations with $1B+ in annual revenue
  • Engage C-suite, VP, and Director-level data leaders to consult and align on strategic goals
  • Lead discovery, solution positioning, and closing motions across complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Partner with Solutions Engineers to deliver tailored demos and technical deep dives
  • Collaborate with top-tier partners in the modern data ecosystem (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Forecast with precision and maintain strong pipeline hygiene using enterprise sales methodologies
  • Work cross-functionally with SDRs, marketing, and customer success to maximize account growth

What We're Looking For:


  • Ideal level would be 5-15 years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, ideally in very technical products related to data warehousing, data transformation, analytics, and/or cloud infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed quota in high-growth environments and negotiate and close multi-year deals in the $70K - $150K+ ARR range
  • Experience selling to senior leadership in enterprise data teams and navigating complex organizational hierarchies
  • Strong command of cloud data architectures and the modern data stack
  • Experience with HubSpot (ideally) or similar CRM tools.
  • Expertise with MEDDIC, Challenger, or other consultative enterprise sales frameworks
  • Personal Skills: Hunter mentality. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Naturally curious and life-long learner who enjoys teamwork, collaboration, and has executive presence. Down to earth, self-aware. Not interested in egos or prima-donna attitudes.

Compensation & Benefits:


  • Base Salary: $145K - $180K (depending on experience and geographic location)
  • OTE at plan: $290K - $360K
