About this role Responsible for providing technical support to the Enrollment Management Division. Creates and maintains training documents for enrollment management functions. Produces enrollment management reports including using the college's data warehouse and reporting services. Complies with subpoenas for student records. Researches and prepares college wide student appeals process.
What a day of an Enrollment Specialist looks like:
- Develops complex tables and charts (e.g., mathematical formulas, headers, font changes, highlighting, split cells) and complex spreadsheets involving statistical formulas or construction of look-up tables. Develops routine and complex macros. Imports and exports data and graphic files.
- Develops and maintains knowledge base articles for enrollment management functions. Reviews for accuracy and updates all job aids and knowledge base articles after each system update.
- Runs database queries and pivot tables for use in presentations and decision-making. Assists users with the integration of data sets into information for analysis, decision-making, and presentations.
- Collaborates with business units and subject matter experts to understand and create job aids detailing business processes.
- Assists with the production of complex presentations with unique and customized formatting patterns.
- Develops, maintains and monitors department web site. Uses established web templates and may use HTML or web development software. Maintains online documents and coordinates resource sharing among various College users including students, faculty and others.
- Reviews and revises reports and documents for accuracy and completeness. Drafts response on more complex correspondence under own signature. Informs supervisor of action taken.
- Assists students with issues utilizing a variety of formats such as in person, phone, email, and online chat.
- Performs highly confidential administrative and secretarial duties that require broad and comprehensive knowledge of the organization's policies and operations. Consults and advises within area of expertise.
- Acquires knowledge of other staff duties and serve as a backup as necessary.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

- Associate degree or two years of college coursework
- Two years of related experience
Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
Skilled in:
- Delivering a high level of customer service
- Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
- Problem and situation analysis
Ability to:
- Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
- Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
- Update web pages using basic HTML tools
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
- Regular physical attendance required
- Some periods throughout the year will require extended work hours including nights, weekends, and college closures
- Must complete FERPA training within 30 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of:
- Microsoft SQL Server or similar application
