ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Student Recruitment and Enrollment Manager is a critical representative of Invictus in connecting with our families and the communities where they are from; we are seeking a candidate who brings passion, creativity, experience building relationships, and will take initiative to help grow our school. We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about leading broad outreach efforts to share information with prospective students and families about what Invictus Academy of Richmond has to offer.
We are seeking exceptional individuals to execute the following essential job functions and professional responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Student Recruitment - Develop a strategic, comprehensive student outreach and recruitment plan that results in Invictus meeting or exceeding enrollment targets
- Implement outreach and recruitment strategies that lead to enrollment growth in students in grades 7-12
- Responsible for meeting pre-determined enrollment targets
- Identify, create, attend and evaluate a range of student recruitment events including recruitment fairs, exhibitions, seminars, school visits, community organized events, presentations at community partners, etc.
- Track and log recruitment activities to inform continuous improvement of student recruitment strategy and ensure recruitment activities are data-driven and aligned with best practices.
- Develop and maintain community relationships and partnerships that lead to prospective students.
- Organize, lead, and equip existing families and staff members to identify and recruit prospective students
- Plan school-based open houses, enrollment information meetings, and other school-based recruitment events.
- Lead a strong marketing campaign, including by developing collateral, as well as soliciting insights from prospective families to strengthen digital advertising and messaging.
- Oversee social media platforms, including relevant sections of the Invictus website, with attention to celebrating and promoting core Invictus values.
- Responsible for recruiting and attracting a student body that is representative of the community we serve.
- Routinely reach out to prospective and newly accepted families to keep them engaged, excited and informed about the school through the first day of school for the following year.
- Ensure that families are excited to choose Invictus Academy as their next school by the March lottery date.
- Support students and families in registering for the upcoming school year by planning with the school leadership team around orientations to make sure students feel welcomed into their new community.
- Prepare for and conduct an on-site lottery to build interest and excitement for Invictus Academy.
- Conduct school visits, shadow days, parent/guardian information sessions to build and maintain student enthusiasm for joining Invictus Academy of Richmond.
- Manage the school's partnerships with student recruitment and enrollment partners to track and monitor student applications.
Enrollment & Re-Enrollment- Drive the re-enrollment process, including reaching out to existing students to ensure they submit their application for the following school year.
- After students are accepted for the following school year, collect application packets and ensure student information is properly entered into the school information database.
- Support the spring placement testing of incoming students.
- Support with specific families' needs to promote student retention.
Family Engagement- Work with school operations and leadership team to plan welcome events and orientation for new students prior to the start of the school year and to support the onboarding process for students throughout the school year.
- Oversee and support the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) to foster family engagement and collaboration.
- Manage and distribute a weekly family events newsletter to ensure clear, consistent communication.
- Coordinate and support the bi-weekly communication from the Principal to families.
- Facilitate the Family Advisory Council, gathering input and feedback to inform school decisions.
- Plan and host two monthly Coffee & Donuts with the Principal sessions to build community connections.
- Lead the administration and analysis of the annual Family Survey to gather input on school climate and services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families seeking school or community-based resources and support.
- Provide Spanish translation at events and as needed.
- Serve on the school Leadership Team to make key decisions related to the overall school program
- Give and receive honest and direct feedback to improve your practice, that of your peers, and school leaders.
- Create and maintain open, honest, and respectful lines of communication with all stakeholders.
- Actively supervise students during transitions such as arrival, bathroom, homeroom, passing periods, lunch, and dismissal.
- Attend and participate in school-wide events including Back to School Night, Parent/Teacher conferences, End of the Year events, Grade Level Meetings, Department Meetings, Summer Professional Development, weekly Professional Development during the school year, and other assigned meetings.
- Demonstrate proficient use of technology to communicate with staff, families, and community members using multiple school-based platforms.
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal or an administrator.

- Perform any other reasonable duties or responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
- Participate in the performance evaluation process, which is based on adherence to the outlined responsibilities and qualifications.
PUBLIC SCHOOL EMPLOYMENT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Earned Bachelor's Degree.
- Pass a Criminal Background Check through the Department of Justice.
- Obtain a negative TB reading prior to starting employment.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with community engagement and outreach.
- Experience with recruitment/sales and marketing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS This full-time and on-site position requires sufficient mobility to report to campus, work in an office, and engage with students, families, and colleagues, with or without reasonable accommodations.
