We are working with a highly regarded, close-knit secondary school in the Portsmouth area. With over 800 students, the school is known for its supportive leadership, strong community, and positive behaviour. They are now seeking a committed English teacher to join their team from September 2025.
The Role:
As an English Teacher (Portsmouth), you will:
Join a dedicated and experienced English department.
Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
Inspire a love of English language and literature across a range of abilities.
Contribute to the school's inclusive culture and high academic standards.
Work full-time in a long-term position, with the potential for permanency.
About You:
We're looking for someone who is:
A qualified teacher with a recognised teaching qualification (ECTs welcome).
Confident in teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Passionate about literature, language, and the wider impact of English education.
Adaptable, enthusiastic, and capable of building strong student relationships.
A collaborative team member who supports the department and whole school.
